1 hour timer
One hour fills the full 60-minute dial, the same scale as a classic visual timer.

Time an exam or study hour
A full pie is one hour, so each quarter of the pie is 15 minutes. When one quarter remains, you have 15 minutes left. That makes an hour easy to divide: three quarters for the work, and the last quarter for checking and packing up. Plan a break once the hour ends.
The hour before you leave
- Start the pie one hour before you need to be out the door.
- Work or relax until one quarter of the pie remains.
- With 15 minutes left, stop and get ready.
- When the pie is empty, leave.

1 hour timer questions
How do I start a 1 hour timer?
Press Start. This page opens with the pie set to 1 hour. When time is up, the timer plays three soft tones and counts the time over.
Can I show it to a class or change the length?
Yes. For a class, turn on Projector colors and press Full screen. To change the length, tap another length under the pie, or drag around the pie to set any time from 1 to 180 minutes.
Can I set a timer longer than one hour?
Yes. Drag around the pie or change the length to set any time up to 180 minutes. Above 60 minutes, the pie stays full until the last hour, then shrinks on a 60-minute scale.
How do I split an hour into quarters?
Each quarter of a full pie is 15 minutes. When three quarters of the pie remain, you have 45 minutes. At half, you have 30, and at one quarter, 15.
