Time blindness test: how long is 30 seconds to you?
A time estimation check. Press Start, do not count, and press Stop when you feel that the time has passed.
Ready when you are.
What does my time estimate result mean?
If you stopped early, time felt slower than it was. If you stopped late, time slipped by faster than you noticed. Both happen to most people. A pattern of large misses, especially on longer tasks, is one sign of what people call time blindness.
One guess on a 30-second interval says little about how you handle a 30-minute task. To learn that, compare your guesses with real times on everyday tasks. The Hourpie app does this each time you use a timer: the time you pick is the guess, and the result screen shows the real time beside it.
This check is not a diagnosis. If you are concerned about ADHD, talk to a doctor or psychologist.
Time blindness test questions
Is this a real time blindness test?
No. It is a quick time estimation exercise. It is not a clinical test, and it cannot diagnose ADHD or anything else.
What is a good result?
There is no single good score, and results change with mood, sleep, and focus. The useful part is the pattern over several tries: whether you tend to stop early or late, and by how much.
Why does my result change each time?
Your sense of time shifts with attention and interest. Guessing while bored, tired, or rushed gives different results. Try at different times of day to see your range.
How accurate is a time estimation check?
It measures one guess on one day. It is a quick exercise, not a clinical test, so treat the result as a rough picture of how you judge time. Several tries over a few days tell you more than one.
